Sweet Deal Wednesday

I'm sorry to say that there is no sweet deal outfit this week.  Instead, I went to CVS and scored massive savings!

I was able to walk out of the store with $131.00 worth of product.  I paid only $6.00 out of pocket. However, there is an even more amazing part to this story. I actually MADE money off of this deal. That's right.  I earned $56 in CVS Extra Care Bucks for this haul.  That's money I can use at CVS for future purchases. 

How did I do all this?  It was a delicate mix of planning, coupons, and rolling ECBs.  I broke up my visit into 4 transactions.  Each transaction, I used coupons to lower my out of pocket, and then earned enough ECBs to pay for the next transaction.  Sound complicated? It's really not!

For example, the ROC Daily Resurfacing Discs were $9.89 each. I had two $3.00 off 1 coupons, bringing my total down to around $14.00.  I then used $12.00 in ECB, bringing my grand total down to around $2.00. I then earned $17.00 in ECB for buying the discs.  I then used those ECBs to pay for the Covergirl eye shadows, etc.

Let this be a lesson to you all that couponing pays off!!
