Coupon Stacking: Double Your Savings

In addition to the multitude of manufacturer coupons that are available in our world, several stores also offer own their coupons.  These coupons can often be used along with a manufacturer coupon. This practice is known as "stacking."  Stacking is an invaluable tool in your savings strategy arsenal.

Store coupons can be found online or in-store.  If you are searching in-store for coupons, look near the entrance where the weekly ads are placed.  Some stores (like CVS) have a special machine where you scan your loyalty card and coupons will print out.

The best store to stack at (in my opinion) would be Target.  Their website has several printable store coupons to choose from which can offer high value savings.  If texting is more your thing, you can also request store coupons to be sent directly to your smartphone (text the word OFFERS to 827438 to enroll).

An example of a stacking scenario would be as follows (we will use Target for this scenario): buy 2 L'Oreal Eye Makeup Removers (suggested retail price $6.49 each).  Use 1 $5/2 L'Oreal Skin Care manufacturer coupon AND 2 $3/1 L'Oreal Skin Care Target coupons.  Price after coupons: $1.98 plus tax.  That's less than a dollar each!

When done correctly, coupon stacking is a great way to maximize your savings.  Keep your eyes peeled for all coupons out there; you never know when you could make a great deal even better!
