Mini CVS Haul

This week I had a couple of great CVS coupons that I was eager to use.  I had planned out 4 small transactions with the intentions of rolling Extra Care Bucks rewards.  However, when I arrived at the store, I felt immediate disappointment as some of the products I was relying on were sold out.  This scenario does happen to couponers and the frustration is real.  However, despite this upset, I continued.  I decided to go to a different CVS only a few minutes away.  I was able to find success here and get $47.11 worth of product for free, and I made $1.86.  Breakdown below!

Transaction #1:

Bought 2 Gillette shave gels for $2.37 each (buy 2, receive $3 ECB)
Used $4 ECB from previous shopping trip
Paid $0.74 out of pocket, received $3 ECB

Transaction #2:

Bought 1 Colgate multipack for $3.19 (buy 1, receive $3 ECB)
Used $3 ECB from transaction #1
Paid $0.19 out of pocket, received #3 ECB

Transaction #3:

Bought 1 Colgate multipack for $3.19 (buy 1, receive $3 ECB)
Used $3 ECB from transaction #1
Paid $0.19 out of pocket, received #3 ECB

Transaction #4:

Bought 6 Pantene shampoos and conditioners for $24 (on sale 2/$8)
Bought 1 Puffs tissues for $0.99 (spend $25 on select products, receive $5)
Used 1 $5 off $15 purchase CVS coupon, 3 Buy 1 Pantene, get 1 free MQ, $3 ECB from transaction #3
Paid $2.02, received $5 ECB

So that's a total of $47.11 worth of product with $3.14 spent out of pocket. I received $5 ECB in the end, so this trip was a moneymaker of $1.86!
